Am I mad to take a Discovery not Powerglide? Well, wanted to give it a go, took one with outboard straps...

...and had GREAT fun! If anyone asks me what board to buy to learn & progress windsurfing on, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Got planing no problem, not too bumpy on the flat sea, and even got it around a couple of carve gybes. The huge size forgave my wobbly endings, but it was still a good learning experience vis a vis rig flips, when to change feet etc. Great stuff. Nice to just step on & be taken for a ride now & again without too much effort required.
